Camelthorn Farmstead
Botswana - Maun/Delta
The campsites have plenty Camelthorn trees that provide enough shade and a lovely view on the Makgadikgadi National Park.
There are 5 campsites with a shared ablution block. The ablution is newly built with hot water (gas geyser) and extremely nice. The campsites also have fire pits (wood is supplied free of charge at the campsites).
Maun is the nearest town for supplies 140km from us. Fuel is available at Rakops 80km away. No need for pre booking, but phone to check availability.
There is no shop, but ice can be purchased. We are biker unfriendly due to the sand being too thick for road bikes. No credit card facilities at the moment. For the moment there are no electrical points at the campsite but the ablutions have got electrical lights.
Overland trucks / big rigs are welcome but they need to contact us so that we can help them with a less sandy road.
